Mercer is not licensed and is not a clinician. His only empirical publications are when Jean Mercer was Gene Lester, about the rod and frame test; over twenty years ago!

Jean Mercer is an absolute fraud in the clinical field. She has NO formal training in psychological assessment, development, diagnosis or treatment yet she writes as an expert. She holds NO licenses or Board certifications, but is quick to criticize everyone without foundation. She needs to be censured by NJ and Psychology Today, as she is an experimental psychologist–nowhere near a child expert. Accusing everyone of being an “attachment therapists” is libelous and her “fringe group” are no better.
